Return & Refunds
At Modula Living, we want our customers to be completely satisfied with their online purchase and we understand that on some occasions, you may need to return a product.
Proof of Purchase
Modula Living may require you to provide proof of purchase in order for you to obtain any refund, credit, exchange or repair set out in this Returns Policy or otherwise.
Change of Mind
Sofas, Occasional Chairs, Coffee Table, Side Table
You may request to cancel or amend your order within 24 hours of placing it by contacting our team. After this period, cancellations may not be possible, particularly for custom or made-to-order items.
If a cancellation is approved, we may charge a restocking fee to cover administration and restocking costs. This fee will be 20% of the total item price and deducted from your deposit.
Change-of-mind cancellations are not permitted after 24 hours of placing your order or if you have picked up your item or it has been delivered, except as required by law.
Cushions, Lamps, Trees & Plants, Rugs
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, return the product within 30 days to us in its original and "as new" condition by delivering the product (together with a "Return Authority" and your proof of purchase) to our stores. A "Return Authority" must be obtained, prior to returning the product to a store or us, by contacting us at [email protected] . Upon confirmation of the condition of the product, "Return Authority" and your proof of purchase, our store will arrange a refund, credit, or exchange of the purchase price less the original freight costs. You can also freight the product to us, however, please be aware that it must be delivered within 7 days of the original delivery,in its original and "as new" condition and accompanied by your proof of purchase and your contact details.
Modula Living by law is not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind, however, if the above conditions are met, we will process an exchange, credit, or refund.
If the conditions above are not met and there is a fault with the item, you can choose a refund or exchange only if the fault is major.This is when the item has a fault that is unsafe, is significantly different from the sample or description, doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for can’t be easily fixed. If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time, you can choose a refund or replacement
Change of mind returns incur a shipping fee. A return shipping fee equal to the original cost of shipping will be charged for change of mind returns. The initial delivery cost will also be deducted from your refund. We may charge a cancellation fee to cover administration and restocking costs.
Please note that for change of mind returns during Free Shipping Promotions, the cost of delivery both to and from you will be deducted from your final refund value. This amount will be quoted by our staff.
Returns to Our Warehouse
Items can also be returned to our Notting Hill warehouse. If an item is returned directly to our warehouse, return shipping will not be charged.
Please note that products still need to pass through our Return Form and be approved by our Support Staff prior to being returned.
Returning items to our Warehouse without prior approval, or to our Showrooms will be denied.
Australian Consumer Law
By law we are required to state:
"Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure."
Notwithstanding the above, there may be circumstances pursuant to the Australian Consumer Law where you are not entitled to such a return or replacement of goods and in such circumstances, Modula Living does not guarantee or warrant any such right. For example, the right under the Australian Consumer Law does not apply to return of goods where damage occurred after installation for reasons not related to the condition of the goods at the time of supply or when attached to any property such as a house or unit that cannot be detached without damage.

Refund, credit or exchange
If the product does not match its advertised description, Modula Living will provide you with a choice between a refund to the value of the item purchased or an exchange.
Please note that items displayed on the Site — including but not limited to rugs, upholstery fabrics, and leather goods (such as sofas and armchairs) — may appear differently on screen compared to how they appear in real life. This variation can result from your individual screen settings or from the settings and lighting used during the production of the original images.
Colours, textures, and finishes are often difficult to represent with 100% accuracy online. While our manufacturers make every effort to ensure consistency in dye lots and material finishes, customers should be aware that variations in colour, grain, texture, and shading may naturally occur in products — particularly in textiles, leather (which can display natural marks and grain variations), and other upholstered materials. Such variations may also arise over time, for example when materials are exposed to UV light or environmental conditions.
These characteristics are considered a feature of the product and not a defect. If you have any concerns about material or finish variations, we encourage you to contact us prior to purchase for additional information or visit one of our showrooms.
